CNC Programmer – Bespoke Joinery & Cabinet Making
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a busy joinery and furniture manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in bench joinery or cabinet making, with a strong understanding of how bespoke furniture and joinery are manufactured.

Key Responsibilities
- Create CNC programmes and nesting layouts for joinery and cabinetry production.
- Select appropriate tooling and develop efficient machining strategies.
- Standardise machining methods to improve consistency across production.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, improve efficiency and minimise programming errors.
- Prepare jobs and ensure all necessary information is ready before reaching the machines.
- Support and train CNC operators, sharing knowledge and improving processes.
- Work closely with the workshop team to ensure programmes are accurate and suitable for manufacture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
