CNC Programmer / Setter

Bridgwater
£35,000 - £43,000 - 2 Shift

Yolk Recruitment are partnered with a leading specialist manufacturer to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join their growing team in Bridgwater.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist from either a milling or turning background to join a local employer of choice, producing precision components for demanding applications across advanced technology sectors. You'll have responsibility for setting and running your own machines, making programme adjustments and ensuring components are produced accurately to drawing.

The role works a two-shift pattern, alternating between 6am - 2.30pm Monday to Thursday, 6am - 12pm Friday, and 2.30pm - 11pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm - 6pm Friday.

This is what you'll be doing

  • Setting and running CNC milling or turning centres
  • Editing and adjusting programmes and machine settings as required
  • Reading engineering drawings and producing components to specification
  • Carrying out self-inspection and making adjustments to maintain quality
  • Supporting operators with machine set-ups and less experienced machinists where required

The experience you'll bring to the team

  • Previous experience setting CNC milling or turning machinery
  • CNC programming or programme editing experience, at the machine and/or using CAD/CAM
  • Ability to read and work accurately from engineering drawings
  • Confident carrying out inspection and working independently
