CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator

Are you looking to join an experienced team where quality and customer focus is high on the agenda and where you will be working for a solid client base, if so, this is the perfect CNC Programmer /Setter/Operator role. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career and share your passion for precision engineering.

Job Role / Duties

  • Work with materials such as model board, aluminium & steel.
  • Deal with any issues that arise in relation to machine programming and operating, adjusting where necessary.
  • Operate Siemens & Heidenheim controllers.
  • Use CMS Area 3618 5-axis, Dugard, Mte and Hurco machines.
  • Work with 3D CAD models and use Power Mill CAM software.
  • Work in line with machine capability to meet customer quality expectations.
  • Liaise with colleagues and customers to ensure jobs are completed in the timeframe and quality parameters required.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintaining and promoting safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools, equipment and PPE.

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years experience in this job role.
  • Have proficiency with Power Mill cam software.
  • Have experience as outlined in the duties.
  • Be used to working to deadlines.
  • Be able to read and understand drawings.
  • Be able to read and understand drawings and work with 3D CAD models.
  • Be able to work unsupervised at times.
  • Have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
