Job Title
My client is a leading precision engineering firm based in the heart of the Fens. Privately owned, they have over 50 years of experience in providing high-quality engineered parts into a variety of sectors including medical devices, automotive and aerospace.
About the Role
We are looking for CNC Setter/Operators to operate a variety of turning and/or milling machines to perform assigned tasks for both the day shift. Working on Fanuc controlled machinery, you produce components for the aerospace sector, working to agreed standards and quality processes.

- Load programs, set and operate CNC machines.
- Previous aerospace experience would be beneficial.
- Produce first-off components for inspection and approval.
- Be responsible for own quality recording outputs to drawing specifications.
- Monitor machine while working to achieve optimum outputs.
- Always looking for continuous improvement in all processes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
In addition to this, you would be responsible for ensuring that the CNC machines are adequately cleaned, serviced and maintained.
Requirements
While time-served or CNC milling qualifications are preferred, this role would suit someone in a similar engineering discipline. The ability to read and understand complex drawings is essential, along with experience in Fanuc controlled equipment.

Other practical engineering skills would also be advantageous, such as basic manual assembly skills and the ability to complete engineering documentation.
