CNC Setter/Operator - Aerospace
Southend-on-Sea | £30,000-£35,000 | Monday-Thursday (37 hours)
An established aerospace manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join its production team. You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC and manual machinery, producing precision components to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes and grinders.
- Operate grinding machines including Wickman Scrivener, Ghiringhelli, Cincinnati or Tschudin.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Complete secondary operations including thread rolling, deburring, drilling and marking.
- Support production targets, quality standards and continuous improvement.

About You
- Experience as a CNC Setter, CNC Operator or CNC Machinist.
- Able to work to tight tolerances.
- Confident using micrometers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
- Grinding experience is desirable, but training will be provided.
- Aerospace or precision engineering experience is advantageous.
