Salary £37,500 + 30% Night Premium

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled CNC Turner to join an established international manufacturer producing high-precision components for aerospace applications. This is a permanent night shift position which would suit a time-served machinist bringing turning expertise alongside milling capability. An ideal role for someone who takes pride in accurate workmanship, enjoys independent duties, and values quality-led production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture precision parts from engineering drawings against specifications.
  • Set and run multi-axis turning equipment.
  • Operate 3-axis or 5-axis milling machinery when required.
  • Interpret technical drawings alongside written manufacturing instructions.
  • Maintain tight tolerances while checking completed work.
  • Use varied inspection gauges using measurement equipment.
  • Complete final quality checks before release.
  • Keep machinery, tooling, equipment, while surrounding areas clean and maintained.
  • Follow ISO 50001, 14001, 45001 & 9001 requirements.
  • Support improvements covering production, safety, health & energy efficiency.
  • Take ownership of tasks while contributing positively within team activities.

Skills Required

  • Fully skilled, time-served CNC Turner holding relevant certificates.
  • Practical background using CNC lathes.
  • Milling experience on 3-axis or 5-axis machines.
  • Strong ability to read engineering drawings and follow written instructions.
  • Aerospace manufacturing exposure would be advantageous.
  • Confident using precision gauges with measuring instruments.
  • Computer literate plus accurate record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, dexterity, practical ability & hand-eye coordination.
  • Safe, reliable approach showing confidence to work without constant supervision.
  • Normal colour vision required.

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30pm - 4:30am and Friday: 2:30pm - 7:30pm
  • £37,500 basic salary plus 30% night shift premium
