Job Title: CNC Turner – Setter/Programmer
Location: Basildon, SS13 1DJ
Job Type: Permanent
Working times: 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.0 to 15.30
Our client supplies high-quality, turnkey solutions to leading OEMs and tiered suppliers in the aerospace industry. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, they specialise in low-volume, bespoke components manufactured to exacting standards.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner – Setter- Programmer to join their skilled team, to produce low volume batch production. Each component is unique, offering variety and challenge on a daily basis. You’ll be responsible for setting, proving out and operating CNC turning machines, ensuring complex aerospace parts are produced accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibility
- Work independently on Mazak and Fanuc controls.
- Interpret technical engineering drawings to develop machining strategies.
- Devise effective workholding solutions for bespoke components.
- Program, set and operate CNC Lathes to produce components.
- Ensure all work meets tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a CNC turner in a high-precision, low-volume environment.
- Ability to work from complex technical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following controls, Mazatrol, and Fanuc control systems.
- Aerospace machining experience preferred.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and committed to producing work of the highest quality.
