CNC Turner Setter/Operator (MK1)
Competitive Hourly Rate
- From £17.61 per hour including 15% shift allowance.
- January 2027 Hourly Rate Increase to £18.37 per hour including 12.5% shift allowance

- Setter/operator level in line with our Grading Structure.

Essential Functions
The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position of CNC Setter/Operator based on site at the Leicester Plant and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible and responsive approach to this role is vital, together with the initiative in identifying and focusing on the needs of the business and its customers.
Specific Responsibilities
- Set, Fault Find & Operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
- In process deburring and Self Inspection
- Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
- Self-certification of personal work.
- To prove out downloaded programs so they are in line with the correct timings in accordance with our manufacturing and quality standards and then to up load the proven program.
- Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
- Responsible for producing SPC charts and records.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.

General Company Support
- Undertake to train on all machines to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace, and once fully trained to train others.
- To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams.
- Work as fully flexible team member within the Company to maximize levels of production and quality.
- Maximize plant and resource utilization.
Company Responsibilities
- Maintain full compliance with Howmet policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct.
- To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.
- To undertake and promote their own self development, in line with Company and personal aims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience & Background
- Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting CNC Machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with fanuc/sieman controls
- Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
