Contract CNC Turner - Defence Engineering
Stockport
Immediate Start | Ongoing Contract
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's largest Defence Engineering organisations for an experienced CNC Turner to join their manufacturing team.
The Role
- Set and operate CNC turning machines
- Machine precision components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out tooling changes and machine set-ups
- Work accurately to tight tolerances
- Inspect completed components using micrometres, verniers and other precision measuring equipment
- Ensure components meet required quality and dimensional standards

About You
- Experienced CNC Turner / CNC Lathe Setter Operator
- Strong CNC turning and machining background
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident setting and operating CNC machinery
- Competent using precision measuring equipment
- Defence, aerospace or precision engineering experience advantageous

Comprehensive training provided.
Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 15:30
- Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
- 37 hours per week
Contract Rate
- Umbrella: 26.07 per hour
- 37 hours = 964.59 per week
Additional hours available at overtime rates.
