We are looking for an experienced Waterjet Setter & Operator to join our growing team, producing world-class components for some of the most demanding industries in the world, including Aerospace, Defence, Military, Motorsport and Formula One.

The Role

As a Micro-precision Waterjet Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for setting, programming, operating and optimising our state-of-the-art machine to produce high-precision components to exceptionally tight tolerances.

You Will Work With a Variety Of Materials Including

  • Titanium
  • Aluminium
  • Stainless steels
  • Tool steels
  • Carbon fibre composites
  • Plastics

Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you will ensure quality, efficiency and precision remain at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating Micro Abrasive Waterjet systems
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD data
  • Producing components to extremely tight tolerances and high-quality standards
  • Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Selecting suitable cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses
  • Troubleshooting machining and process issues
  • Maintaining machine performance and supporting preventative maintenance activities
  • Working to Aerospace, Defence and Motorsport quality requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes, productivity and quality

Essential

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience operating precision CNC or waterjet cutting machinery
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
  • Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Quality-focused approach with a commitment to delivering right-first-time results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly skilled engineering team

Desirable

  • Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport or Formula One manufacturing experience
  • CAD/CAM programming knowledge
  • Inspection experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
