CNC / Saw Operator

We are looking for a CNC / Saw Operator to join our team! Working across four brands, you will operate CNC routers and saw machinery, taking jobs from initial setup through to completion. You will work with plastics, wood, and composite materials, producing accurate, high-quality components to technical drawings and specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operating CNC routers and saw machinery, including loading and unloading materials.
  • Setting up CNC jobs, including nesting, tooling, and machine calibration.
  • Setting up and operating saws to cut materials accurately to specification.
  • Selecting and fitting appropriate tooling and blades.
  • Reading technical drawings and working to specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Carrying out quality checks before, during, and after machining/cutting.
  • Completing routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and accessories.
  • Following production schedules and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Keeping machinery and work areas clean, safe, and organised.
  • Reporting any machinery, material, or quality issues to your line supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a CNC, saw operating, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Intermediate-level experience operating CNC routers and/or saw machinery.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and production schedules.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn — training will be provided where required.
  • Experience with a manual lathe or vertical mill would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • CAD/CAM and CNC programming knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
