An established organisation operating within the Energy Trading sector is seeking a Senior Software Developer (.NET / C#) to join its Data engineering team in London. You'll work on large-scale, data-intensive platforms responsible for consuming, processing and publishing significant volumes of real-time market and trading data, helping build highly scalable systems at the heart of a global trading environment.
The (.NET / C#) Developer role:
As a Senior Software Developer, you'll take ownership of technical requests from initial analysis and solution design through to development, testing, release and production support. You'll work with a high degree of independence while contributing to the architectural direction and ongoing evolution of the wider data platform.
You'll be working on genuinely large-scale engineering challenges, including applications streaming 100s of GB of data through Kafka, data lake applications operating at 100s of TB scale, and databases reaching 10s of TB across relational, time-series and OLAP technologies.

This is a senior hands-on position where you'll also mentor other developers, review code and share technical knowledge across the team. You'll need to be comfortable picking up unfamiliar technologies quickly and applying them to new engineering challenges within a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Package:
- 💰 This Full Stack Developer (.NET / C#) role is paying up to £95,000 + bonus + benefits
- 🚂 Role is based in Central London
- 📍 Hybrid working. 3 days per week in the office

Skills Required for the (.NET / C#) Developer role:
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#/.NET.
- Experience working with data-intensive, high-volume or real-time applications.
- Strong experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications.
- Experience with modern distributed technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes or similar would be beneficial.
- Ability to independently take ownership of technical requirements and see them through to completion.
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies and picking up unfamiliar tools quickly.
- Collaborative approach with an interest in sharing knowledge, supporting and mentoring other engineers.
