Ab.Animation is an independent animation studio founded in 2024, focused on bringing diverse stories to mainstream platforms. The studio is driven by its community and powered by a wide range of creative talent, producing work intended for global audiences. Ab.Animation specialises in original and commercial animation that is timeless, thought-provoking, and engaging. The company emphasises collaboration with its community to develop and green-light unique creative IP and is committed to partnering with clients to solve complex creative challenges.

Role Description

As a Co-Founder at Ab.Animation, you will play a central role in shaping the studio’s creative vision, business strategy, and long-term growth. This remote position involves overseeing key operations, building and maintaining client relationships. You will collaborate closely with creatives to evaluate pitches, and ensure that the studio’s output reflects its commitment to diverse, multicultural narratives. Day-to-day responsibilities include representing the studio at industry events, and identifying partnership and revenue opportunities. You will also help build a sustainable company culture that supports inclusive practices and fosters the growth of emerging talent.

  • Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities, evaluate project viability, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with creative teams, engaging with community partners, and representing the studio to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven sales abilities to pitch projects, secure new business, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Solid marketing experience to help position the studio, grow its audience, and promote original and commercial work.
  • Strong research skills to track industry trends, identify new platforms and partners, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Background in animation, film, or creative industries, with experience leading projects or teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in storytelling and team building.
  • Experience in business development, entrepreneurship, or studio management is highly beneficial.
