About Mindsets Ventures
Mindsets Ventures (MV) is the venture studio arm of Mindsets, a talent centric investment company operating across the MENA, Europe, and North America.
MV makes long-term investments in innovation-stagnant sectors and high-growth potential markets through re-invented business models, with a goal of redefining industries and creating mutual value between businesses and users in innovative ways.
MV is hands-on from day one and operates through two models.
In the first model, MV generates venture ideas internally, validates them through market research and customer interviews, and then recruits entrepreneurs and co-founders to lead those ventures supported by the studio's capital, team, and operational infrastructure.
In the second model, MV partners with founders who come with their own promising venture ideas, supporting them through the venture building process and providing pre-seed investment to help them build and scale.
In both cases MV remains hands-on at every stage, from validating the problem to assembling the team, developing the product, securing funding, and crafting go-to-market strategies.
Venture Context
Choosing where to live is one of life's biggest decisions. Yet renters do it blindly.
Renters spend weeks browsing listings and conducting dozens of viewings, yet still move into a home that does not fit them, because listings never reveal the dealbreaker issues that only current residents know.
To make matters worse, renters rarely have the luxury of time to decide: the best listings disappear within hours, forcing snap decisions on one of the biggest commitments in their lives. Issues like congested streets at rush hour, noisy neighbors through thin walls, an unresponsive building management that takes weeks to fix a leak, slow elevators, poor property quality, low value for money, and a neighborhood vibe that looked nothing like what the photos suggested.
Rather than reliable data, renters fall back on word of mouth, Google Maps, Reddit threads, and WhatsApp groups, piecing together fragments of information from strangers with no way to verify what is true, what is outdated, or what simply does not apply to their situation. The result is a broken decision process, and the cost falls entirely on the renter.
Market Opportunity
£1 billion is wasted every year in the UK by dissatisfied tenants and landlords absorbing tenant turnover costs. Globally, this figure exceeds £108 billion.
The scale of the problem is rooted in how large and mobile the renter population is. Over 5.5 million renters live in rented homes across the UK. These renters spend one to two months searching before committing themselves to a lease. Yet even after that investment of time, 19% of private renters are dissatisfied with their current tenure, and around 40% of tenants end up moving again due to proximity, neighborhood, and property issues. When they do, they absorb £2,500 to £3,500 in moving costs, rising to as much as £7,000 in London, from agent fees, deposits, and home movers, endure the stress of living in a place that does not fit them until their contract ends, and then restart the same broken search process with no guarantee of a better outcome.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Existing property platforms are built to serve property supply. They optimize for listing discovery, not living decisions. There is no platform today that structures community knowledge, resident experiences, and geospatial data into a decision-making tool for renters.
Venture Idea
Homi is a living intelligence platform that matches renters with their most suitable home based on real resident experiences and geospatial data.
Renter Benefits
Homi is building what property platforms never did: a platform that tells you what it is really like to live in every neighborhood, street, building, and apartment. For renters, this translates into three key benefits:
- Access to Complete Information: Navigate neighborhoods, streets, buildings, and properties about hidden living dynamics based on structured data crowdsourced from residents without having to conduct any viewings.
- Access to Trusted Information: Get insights on quality of life and living experiences by engaging with residents you actually trust, which are people from your own network and that share a similar lifestyle.
- Personalized Recommendations: Receive results on the most suitable neighborhood, street, and property to live in based on your profile and lifestyle preferences and where residents of similar lifestyle live.
The idea first started in Dubai. Since then, Homi has conducted over 100 interviews across 6 countries and run 58 product demos. Homi is now entering the full validation phase in London as the next focus city, testing the solution with London renters to determine whether the platform addresses a market need there, before scaling the product and acquiring users.
The Opportunity
As a Cofounder, you will take Homi from the validation already completed into its next chapter in London: reaching problem-solution fit, building and scaling the product, and acquiring customers in London. Working closely with the Mindsets Ventures team, you will refine the problem statement, develop the MVP with real renters, and drive Homi toward a validated, scalable business. This begins as a 6-month engagement structured across defined sprints, but is intended as the starting point of a long-term partnership.
