SPOT | Dating, reimagined around real dates

UK | Flexible / Hybrid | Equity-based Co-Founder Role

Please note: this is an equity-only Co-Founder opportunity and is not a salaried or paid position at this stage.

SPOT is a new dating app built around one simple idea: Stop texting. Start meeting.

We’re building a dating platform where the date is the product, helping people move away from endless messaging and actually meet in the real world.

We’re currently preparing for launch, already building a growing network of independent hospitality venues, and now we’re looking for a third Co-Founder to join the founding team and take ownership of brand, marketing, design and social growth.

The Role

This isn’t a traditional marketing position.

We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, creative and hands-on who wants to help build a consumer brand from the ground up and genuinely shape how SPOT looks, sounds and grows.

You’ll work directly alongside the Founder/CEO and CTO, owning the creative and marketing side of the business.

This role is for someone who wants to build long-term value in the company in return for equity and genuine ownership, rather than join as a salaried employee.

What You’ll Own

  • Brand strategy and creative direction
  • Social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram and other key channels
  • Content creation and campaign concepts
  • Launch and pre-launch marketing
  • Community building and user acquisition
  • Influencer and creator strategy
  • Organic growth and viral campaign ideas
  • App and website creative direction
  • UX/UI input from a brand and consumer perspective
  • Photography, video and short-form content direction
  • Venue-focused campaigns and activation ideas
  • Building SPOT into a recognisable consumer brand
  • Testing new ideas quickly and using data to understand what works

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We’re Looking For

You might come from branding, social media, creative, consumer marketing, design or growth, or be someone who combines several of those skills.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who:

  • Understands how to build attention around a consumer brand
  • Has a strong eye for design and visual identity
  • Understands TikTok, Instagram and modern social culture
  • Can turn an idea into content rather than just write a marketing strategy
  • Understands what makes people share, engage and talk about a brand
  • Is comfortable working in an early-stage startup where things move quickly
  • Can challenge ideas and bring your own
  • Wants ownership rather than simply another job
  • Is commercially minded as well as creative

Experience within dating, hospitality, lifestyle, events, nightlife or consumer apps would be particularly interesting, but it isn’t essential.

About SPOT

We’re approaching the market differently from traditional dating platforms, with the venue ecosystem sitting alongside the user experience rather than being an afterthought.

What’s Already Happening

We’re not starting with just an idea.

The product is being developed, the founding team is in place, and we already have 150+ venues and growing, with our focus now expanding into London ahead of launch.

The foundations are there.

We now want somebody who can help turn SPOT into a brand people recognise, talk about and want to be part of.

Equity & Commitment

This is a genuine Co-Founder position with equity in SPOT.

It is not a paid, salaried or freelance role at this stage.

We’re looking for someone who believes in the opportunity, is willing to contribute their time and expertise alongside the existing founders, and wants to build meaningful ownership in the business as it grows.

You’ll be joining early enough to materially shape the product, brand, culture and future direction of SPOT.
