Role Description
As Co-Founder and Business Development Director at DevEngine Consulting, you will lead business growth, strategic partnerships, and client engagement initiatives, with a strong focus on identifying and securing technology contracts across public sector and enterprise markets.
You will be responsible for identifying government tender opportunities, managing bid processes, developing strong proposals, and building relationships with procurement teams, government bodies, and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and track UK government, public sector, and enterprise technology tender opportunities
- Monitor procurement platforms such as Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, and other tender portals
- Analyse tender requirements, qualification criteria, and submission processes
- Lead bid preparation, proposal writing, and tender submissions
- Develop compelling technical and commercial responses with support from engineering teams
- Build relationships with public sector organisations, procurement teams, and strategic partners
- Identify opportunities across software development, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects
- Manage the full opportunity lifecycle from discovery through contract award
- Support the development of partnerships and supplier relationships
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience winning or managing UK public sector technology tenders
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and frameworks
- Experience with platforms such as Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, CCS frameworks, Jaggaer, ProContract, or similar portals
- Strong bid writing, proposal management, and stakeholder communication skills
- Understanding of IT services, software development, cloud, AI, and digital transformation
- Experience working with government departments, councils, NHS, or large enterprise clients is highly desirable

Compensation
This role will initially be offered on a part-time basis while building and developing new business opportunities. Once successful contracts and a consistent project pipeline are secured, the role has the potential to transition into a full-time position with a fixed compensation package.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with DevEngine Consulting and take on a long-term leadership role within the business development function.
