Company: CortiAura (Dacpras Ltd)
Employment type: Part-time initially, flexible hours
Compensation: Founder equity (no salary at pre-seed stage)
Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)
About CortiAura:
CortiAura is developing a non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation device, founded by an NHS Consultant Gastroenterologist (18+ years, three healthcare systems) and a neuroscience co-founder (PhD Göttingen, postdoc Cambridge). We were selected in the final 15% of the Cambridge Blue Sky innovation programme, have a UK development partner engaged, an NHS Trust pilot in active discussion.
About the role:
We're looking for a Hardware / Neurotech Engineer to join as a co-founder — not an employee or contractor, but a genuine partner in building CortiAura from the ground up. You would own the hardware and technical architecture as we take the device from TRL3 to TRL4 and beyond, with real influence over technical direction, product decisions, and company strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
