ClearVet – Co-Founder Founding Engineer Fractional to Full-time · Founding team · Remote-first | Equity | Start Q3 2026

ABOUT CLEARVET

ClearVet (clearvet.co.uk) is the UK's vet price comparison platform — named in the CMA's 2026 Final Report on veterinary market transparency. We list pricing across 5,600+ RCVS-registered practices. We're bootstrapped, and on a mission to make pet care transparent, trust and accessible for pet parents.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a founding fractional Product Engineering Lead to help architect and build the next generation of the ClearVet platform. This is a hands-on builder/operator role for someone who enjoys ambiguity, speed, product thinking, and creating scalable systems from scratch. You will work directly with the founders to shape product architecture, marketplace infrastructure, and pricing/data systems. You'll be our first engineer, working directly alongside Callum (co-founder, technical lead) to build the features that get us to 15,000 registered users and beyond.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

  • Booking system
  • Pet savings calculator and interactive quiz — the primary engagement mechanic
  • Community reviews system — moderation queue, user profiles, story gallery
  • Referral rewards programme — link generation, tracking logic, affiliate API integrations
  • Affiliate partner integrations (pharmacy, pet nutrition, insurance)
  • AI/GEO infrastructure — llms.txt, schema markup, structured data
  • RCVS data feed integration prep

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
