Role Description

As the Co-Founder – Marketing at Dander, you will shape and execute the overall marketing and growth strategy for the company. This part-time, remote role involves:

  • Defining brand positioning
  • Developing messaging
  • Creating campaigns that engage both users and local businesses

You will lead market research to understand user behaviour and merchant needs, design acquisition and retention strategies, and manage social media and content initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Testing and optimizing marketing channels
  • Collaborating on product features that support growth
  • Building relationships with partners and early adopters

You will work closely with other co-founders to set goals, track performance, and refine the go-to-market approach as the product evolves.

Qualifications

  • Strong Marketing and Sales skills to design growth strategies, drive user and merchant acquisition, and support partnerships.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting data, measuring campaign performance, and making evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication, storytelling, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Research skills to conduct market, competitor, and user research, and to translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Experience in startup or early-stage environments, with a willingness to take ownership and work collaboratively in a small team.
  • Comfort working remotely, with effective time management and self-directed work habits in a part-time capacity.
  • Background in consumer apps, health and wellness, or local commerce is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
