Company Description

AfriPay is building the next generation of cross-border financial infrastructure for Africa. We are creating a modern global payments platform that enables individuals and businesses to move money seamlessly across borders through multi-currency accounts, virtual cards, stablecoin infrastructure, and intelligent payment solutions.

Our mission is to remove the barriers preventing Africans from participating fully in the global economy. While our initial focus includes solving payment challenges for international education, AfriPay is evolving into a broader financial ecosystem that empowers businesses, students, freelancers, exporters, and global professionals with fast, secure, and compliant financial services.

Backed by an ambitious vision, cutting-edge technology, and a rapidly expanding market opportunity, AfriPay is building the infrastructure powering Africa's financial future.

Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Co-Founder to join AfriPay and help build one of Africa's leading fintech companies.

This is not a conventional executive role. As a Co-Founder, you will be instrumental in defining the company's long-term vision, product strategy, fundraising efforts, and execution. You will work alongside the founding team to build a globally scalable fintech platform capable of transforming cross-border payments for millions of Africans.

Depending on your background, you will provide leadership across either Finance & Capital Markets or Technology & Product Engineering, while contributing strategically across all aspects of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving company strategy and long-term execution.
  • Leading fundraising activities and engaging with investors, venture capital firms, DFIs, strategic partners, and financial institutions.
  • Helping build and scale a world-class fintech platform serving African and global markets.
  • Developing strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, regulators, and enterprise customers.
  • Shaping product strategy and ensuring solutions solve real market problems.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
  • Supporting regulatory strategy, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Representing AfriPay at industry events, investor meetings, and strategic engagements.
  • Helping establish AfriPay as a category-defining fintech company across Africa and beyond.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
