Yookatale is a mobile food market that enables selling, buying, and advertising food products and services, currently focused on customers in Uganda, Africa. The company serves both residential and commercial clients, aiming to make food accessible everywhere and connect people and communities to healthy food anywhere. Role Description

The Co-Owner role is a contract position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Co-Owner will collaborate on strategic decisions, including market expansion, product direction, partnerships, and operational priorities, while aligning with YooKatale’s mission and values. The role involves close collaboration with other leadership and team members to:

  • Refine business models
  • Review performance metrics
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and impact

The Co-Owner will also help shape company culture, mentor team members, and ensure that customer-centric practices remain at the core of YooKatale’s activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, represent the brand, and engage with customers and partners.
  • Demonstrated Sales and Marketing skills to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth in consumer-focused or food-related markets.
  • Experience in Product Development, especially in digital platforms, mobile apps, or marketplace solutions, with an understanding of user-centric design.
  • Practical knowledge of Social Media management and online community building to enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
  • Background in entrepreneurship, business ownership, or senior leadership roles, ideally within food, technology, or marketplace sectors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-person collaboration in the London Area with remote work.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the capacity to interpret data, define strategies, and manage risk.
  • Commitment to YooKatale’s mission of food accessibility, and alignment with values of customer focus, respect, authenticity, curiosity, and perseverance.
