The Transformation Team is a dynamic and creative team with a unique role in shaping how Adult Social Care evolves. We work alongside residents, staff and partners to deliver ambitious programmes of change that improve outcomes, embed innovation and strengthen our culture of collaboration. Co-production is central to everything we do.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Co-production & Engagement Officer to champion meaningful involvement across Adult Social Care. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how services are designed, reviewed and improved by ensuring that people with lived experience are genuine partners in decision-making.
Working across a wide range of transformation programmes and service improvement, you will support colleagues to embed co-production into projects, develop creative and accessible engagement approaches, build staff capability through guidance and training and ensure that the impact of co-production is evidenced across the organisation. You will also work closely with residents, carers, community organisations, health partners and other stakeholders to strengthen relationships and ensure diverse voices shape the future of Adult Social Care in Hackney.

This role will also play an important part in supporting our commitment to equality, inclusion and anti-racist practice, ensuring our approaches to engagement actively reduce inequalities and enable participation from communities whose voices are too often underrepresented.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience of leading co-production, engagement or participation programmes within Adult Social Care, the NHS, local government or a similar public service environment.
- Is passionate about empowering people with lived experience and understands how meaningful co-production leads to better services and better outcomes.
- Has excellent facilitation, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work confidently with residents, staff, senior leaders and partner organisations.
- Can design and deliver accessible engagement activities using a range of approaches, from workshops and focus groups to one-to-one conversations and community events.
- Has experience of supporting service improvement or transformation programmes and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on delivery.
- Understands equality, inclusion and anti-racist practice, and is committed to ensuring all residents have opportunities to influence the services they use.
- Is confident developing guidance, delivering training and supporting colleagues to embed co-production into everyday practice.
