Role Overview

As a Coating Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring coating machinery to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The role involves preparing coating solutions, carrying out quality inspections, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring all production activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures and customer specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate coating machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and production specifications.
• Monitor machine settings, gauges, valves, pressures, temperatures, and flow rates to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Clean, maintain, and lubricate coating equipment and associated components.
• Prepare coating solutions by accurately following formulas and weighing materials.
• Adjust machine settings and process parameters to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure print clarity, colour accuracy, coating consistency, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Test coat weights and functional properties to verify product performance and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, machine logs, and quality documentation.
• Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or process improvements to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.
