Technical Lead – CA Gen Developer / Mainframe Transformation Specialist

Contract: 12 Months

Location: UK-based, with occasional European travel

Travel: Expenses paid

Rate: Up to £550 per day

IR35: Outside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead / CA Gen Developer to join a major Mainframe-to-Cloud transformation programme on an initial 12-month contract. You will provide technical leadership across the modernisation of legacy Mainframe applications, working across CA Gen, COBOL and Java within both Mainframe and Cloud environments.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in CA Gen COBOL (Mainframe) and CA Gen Java (Cloud).
  • Proven experience delivering Mainframe-to-Cloud migration and transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • COBOL
    • Java
    • DB2
    • IMS
    • JCL
    • MS SQL
    • Performance engineering
    • System analysis
  • Experience providing technical leadership within complex transformation programmes.
  • Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
