EDAG Engineering UK is a small but growing collaborative team who are currently focusing on some key UK Customers whilst at the same time having access to large multidisciplinary teams globally. Within the group, we are over 9,000 employees located across the world whose core business is to provide engineering solutions to major automotive companies and their suppliers.
We are looking for a Module Leader - Cockpit & Cabin system to join the team
As a module leader your primary focus would be cross-functional program delivery, cost, timing, and supplier management for the entire Cockpit & Cabin systems of a vehicle programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for domain ownership, supporting Design Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Styling, and Manufacturing teams
- Responsible for providing domain-specific Design for Manufacture (DFM) guidance and manufacturing feasibility support.
- Responsible for domain-specific legislative compliance, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards
- Responsible for complete system BOM structuring and management of engineering changes through the ECR/ECN process
- Responsible for defining, compiling, and managing Validation testing and documentation activities, including virtual and physical validation, through to 100% sign-off
- Responsible for delivering system targets for quality, perceived quality, weight, cost, timing, and vehicle attribute requirements
- Complete and maintain system-level deliverables and technical documentation at each vehicle development milestone
- Complete and manage domain-specific DFMEA activities, coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and risk mitigation actions
- Act as the primary interface between engineering team and the wider vehicle development organisation, managing deliverables in accordance with project RASIC
- Responsible for domain-specific project planning, supplier management, programme delivery, and budget control in line with Vehicle/Product Development process requirements

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Cockpit & Cabin Systems with very strong knowledge of instrument panels, center consoles, cockpit assemblies, cabin trim, HVAC integration, HMI interfaces, and vehicle integration
- Strong technical project management skills with proven decision-making and escalation of critical issues to senior management
- Demonstrable experience delivering automotive systems through concept, prototype, validation, preseries, and production phases
- Experience supporting prototype and pre-series builds, including issue management and resolution activities
- Strong commercial awareness with focus on cost, quality, timing, risk, and programme profitability
- Proven track record of delivering engineering solutions to weight, cost, timing, and performance targets.
- Experience in supplier management and implementation of DFM requirements within programme scope
- Proven leadership of engineering and cross-functional teams in a vehicle development environment
- Proficiency in Siemens NX, Teamcenter (or equivalent PLM systems), MS Office, and common collaboration tools; EV platform experience desirable
