About the company
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Cockpit Test & Development Lead Engineer to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week. Based inside IR35.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the development, testing, and verification of new systems and components or commodities into the Cockpit system. The role requires the individual to use the Client's systems to set up and manage the test plan progression through to sign-off.

- Checking all appropriate Client standards are met through-out design maturation
- Setting up the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes
- Managing RMDV (the Clients' management tracking system) deck for respective programmes, setting and cascading targets to relevant areas
- New system on XRAY & TRM in process of being rolled out
- Creating and updating Bill of Materials for test parts
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers and test houses to complete plan and liaising with value for money team to gain approval
- Preparing parts for testing, evaluating results, resolving any problems arising, writing reports, and filing back to RMDV
