Cocktail Waitress – Engel, Royal Exchange
£16.27 per hour | Monday–Saturday | City of London

We’re looking for a confident, engaging and passionate Cocktail Waitress to join the team at Engel, our stylish bar and events space located on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.
Engel is all about great drinks, warm hospitality and memorable experiences – and we’re looking for someone who can bring personality, energy and genuine enthusiasm to every service.
As a Cocktail Waitress, you’ll be a key part of our Front of House team, looking after guests from the moment they arrive and delivering friendly, polished and attentive service throughout their experience.

What you’ll be doing
As Cocktail Waitress, you will:
- Welcome guests warmly and create a great first impression.
- Deliver friendly, attentive and professional table service throughout the guest experience.
- Take drinks and food orders confidently and accurately.
- Develop excellent knowledge of our cocktail, spirits, wine and food offering.
- Make recommendations and help guests discover drinks they’ll love.
- Work closely with our bartenders and wider Front of House team to deliver smooth and efficient service.
- Ensure tables and service areas are beautifully presented and maintained throughout the shift.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly and professionally to requests.
- Bring positive energy and personality to every service.
- Help us create the lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes guests want to come back.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and understands that exceptional service is about much more than simply taking an order.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Cocktail Waitress, Waitress or in a similar Front of House role within a quality bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
- A genuine interest in cocktails, mixology and spirits.
- A warm, confident and engaging personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A natural ability to connect with guests and deliver personalised service.
- A positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to stay organised and composed during busy services.
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support your colleagues.
- The legal right to work in the UK.

Cocktail and spirits knowledge is a great advantage, but just as important is your enthusiasm to learn and develop.
The role
- £16.27 per hour
- Monday to Saturday operation
- Sundays off
- Based at the Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London
