Job Role Summary

To wind electric motor windings by following relevant specifications and winding to the relevant paperwork and documentation.

To fully comply with the company Management Systems, incorporating Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Wind and Connect Electric Rotor & Stator Windings
  • Work to electrical drawings, specifications & high-quality standards
  • Wind using either High Voltage rectangular strip copper coils and/or
  • Wind wire wound motors
  • Support Quality and Business Improvement initiatives
  • Support other Operators by providing flexibility as and when required
  • Operate machinery and equipment including overhead crane, welding brazing, multi meters and various hand tools.
  • Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by Line Manager, that are within the role holder’s ability

Experience & Knowledge Requirement

  • Able to understand technical drawings
  • Experienced in custom “one off” or small batch manufacture
  • Safe Working Practice acumen
  • Manual Handling / Slinging and Lifting methods and technique knowledge and experience

Skills and Competency Requirements

  • Must be able to work to a high-quality standard
  • Must be physically fit as manual handling is involved
  • Ability to work on own, using personal initiative, but also as a member of a team
  • Willing to be flexible and support the business as required

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week
