Role Description
The Cold Room Installer is a full-time, nationwide, responsible for installing, assembling, and finishing commercial cold rooms and related refrigeration structures. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Reading technical drawings
- Measuring and setting out work areas
- Installing insulated panels, doors, and flooring
- Fitting necessary fixtures and sealants to achieve correct temperature control and hygiene standards
The role involves:
- Using hand and power tools
- Working safely at height when required
- Collaborating with colleagues to move, position, and secure materials
- Reporting progress or issues to site supervisors
The position requires adherence to health and safety procedures, maintaining a tidy work environment, traveling to different customer sites as projects demand.
Qualifications
- Practical construction or installation skills, including experience with panel systems, doors, and general fit-out work.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, measurements, and job specifications.
- Competence in using standard hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations, including safe working practices on site and at height.
- Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working in varying temperatures.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and clean finishes.
- Previous experience in refrigeration, cold store installation, construction, or shopfitting is essential.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to different sites as required.
