Job Role: Internal Communications Executive

Join Kingfisher as an Internal Communications Executive and play a key role in keeping our Group Functions colleagues informed, connected and inspired. Working across a range of channels, you'll create engaging content, support colleague events, manage internal communications campaigns and provide expert advice to stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive communicator who enjoys building relationships, telling compelling stories and using insight and data to continuously improve the colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and optimise engaging content across Kingfisher's internal communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, Viva Engage and digital screens, ensuring content is timely, relevant, accessible and aligned to business priorities and brand guidelines.
  • Deliver clear and impactful communications that keep colleagues informed and connected, covering company announcements, strategic updates, policy and process changes, people news, and all-colleague communications through our email publishing platform.
  • Plan and support colleague engagement events, including town halls and Q&As, overseeing content creation, event logistics, stakeholder and delegate communications, speaker support and post-event evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships across Kingfisher and work closely with Corporate Affairs and banner communications teams to identify and share compelling stories, maintain an integrated communications plan, and promote internal communications best practice.
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on messaging, channel selection, tone of voice, timing and communication effectiveness, while managing and prioritising requests through the communications inbox.
  • Measure and continuously improve communication effectiveness by monitoring channel performance, analysing engagement data, leading monthly reviews, and keeping up to date with industry trends and digital innovations to enhance the colleague experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
