Collection & Delivery Manager
£40,457 per annum, potential 15% bonus and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

We have a Collection & Delivery Manager role in which you will be responsible for leading a team, accountable for health and safety, and operational quality, cost and people KPI’s.
About The Role
As a line manager to 21 admin staff alongside a team of delivery and collection drivers, self-employed owner drives and warehouse staff, you will be able to achieve maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning driving quality of service and maximising productivity.
Working to tight timescales you will drive the depot to achieve the highest possible customer service satisfaction levels whilst also ensuring a swift resolution to all customer enquiries and complaints.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance of your unit, effectively maintaining the quality of service for our customers and the overall safety of the people you manage whilst working closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and highlight any network conformance issues.
Attendance: Monday - Friday 05:48 - 14:00. A degree of flexibility is required.
About You
It takes more than organisational skills to be a manager. We’re looking for individuals with a passion for people and the following skills and experiences:
- From a express parcels background with some experience of working in a unionised environment
- Managing and supporting a large team to maximise performance, service and achieving KPIs
- Drive high customer satisfaction by ensuring service quality and managing swift resolutions
- Ensure health & safety compliance, maintaining a safe working environment
- Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members to work to high standards
- Experience of introducing improvements and successfully guiding people through significant periods of change
- Ability to build effective working relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders
- Experience of managing resources and budgets
