German Speaking Collections Agent | Central London | Hybrid | £30k-£36k + £7k-10k Bonus
We are hiring a German-speaking Collections Agent to join a multi-geo Collections and Recoveries team, supporting both German and UK portfolios. This role focuses on managing arrears, maintaining professional merchant relationships, and agreeing practical repayment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage collections and recoveries activity across a portfolio of accounts
- Act as a primary point of contact for merchants in arrears
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, as well as written communications
- Manage cases involving higher-value and more complex accounts
- Negotiate repayment solutions balancing customer circumstances and business needs
- Maintain accurate records across multiple systems
- Work closely with colleagues in a team-based environment

Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
- Background in credit control or collections preferred
- Alternatively, experience in a phone-based role (e.g. customer service, contact centre, account management) with willingness to learn
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and listening skills
- Good attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfortable handling challenging conversations
