Cashera UK
Cashera UK is a fast-growing lending business dedicated to providing fast, flexible funding solutions to businesses across the UK. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Collections Agent to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting customers who have fallen into arrears, understanding their circumstances, negotiating sustainable repayment solutions, and helping reduce delinquency levels while delivering a professional customer experience.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous collections experience.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Be comfortable working with multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers by telephone, email, SMS, and other communication channels regarding overdue payments.
- Assess customers' financial situations and identify appropriate repayment solutions.
- Negotiate and agree affordable payment plans in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and agreements.
- Monitor payment arrangements and take appropriate follow-up action where commitments are not met.
- Work towards achieving individual and team collections targets.
- Identify vulnerable customers and ensure appropriate support and treatment is provided.
- Handle difficult conversations professionally while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Escalate accounts where necessary for further recovery action.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the collections function.

Essential
- Previous experience working within collections, recoveries, or credit control.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle challenging conversations with confidence and empathy.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Computer literate with experience using CRM systems, diallers, Microsoft Office, and other business applications.
- Ability to manage a workload effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Results-focused with a strong commitment to achieving targets.
