I’m working on a really interesting Collections Manager opportunity within a growing Financial Services business in North Hampshire.
This is one for someone who knows consumer collections inside out and wants genuine ownership rather than simply managing a set of KPIs.
You’ll lead a small specialist collections team of around 8–10 FTE, with responsibility for the end-to-end collections operation across consumer credit, BNPL and credit agreements.
The role will cover:
- Leading, coaching and developing a specialist collections team
- Managing arrears and collections strategies across multiple customer touchpoints
- Supporting customers in financial difficulty, including vulnerability and forbearance
- Ensuring strong customer outcomes within a highly regulated environment
- Oversight of collections MI, KPIs, performance and operational capacity
- Managing relationships with third-party collections agencies and debt purchasers
- Supporting debt sale activity, supplier performance and contractual relationships
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to improve collections performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, customer outcomes and recoveries
- Ensuring compliance across Consumer Duty, FCA requirements, Consumer Credit Act and wider regulatory obligations

What I’m looking for - Someone with solid Financial Services collections experience who can combine:
- Strong consumer credit / collections knowledge
- Experience managing collections teams
- Understanding of vulnerability, forbearance and customers in financial difficulty
- Third-party DCA / debt purchaser management
- Strong regulatory awareness
- Good MI, KPI and performance management capability
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders
- A genuine focus on doing the right thing for customers while delivering commercial results
