We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to join our collections team.

To support our major transition and relocation to the restored Maryfield Tram Depot, we will be recruiting a Collections Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to help ready the collection for the move.

The Collections Officer will work closely with the Curator and wider team to:

  • Identify, assess and prepare objects for relocation to Maryfield in line with the new displays and storage plans.
  • Improve collections documentation, cataloguing and records on the collections management system.
  • Support the administration and documentation of loans in and out.
  • Assist with object review and de-accessioning activity as part of a strategic effort to improve the health, focus and manageability of the collection, following recognised professional and ethical guidance.
  • Assist with research to continue to build knowledge about the museum collection.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
