Play a pivotal role in shaping how the British Army prepares for future operations.
As a Collective Training Needs Analyst within the OMNIA® Training consortium, you'll help define the training requirements that underpin collective training across the Army. Working at the centre of a major transformation programme, you'll analyse operational requirements, emerging threats, new equipment and evolving doctrine to design training pathways that ensure soldiers and commanders are prepared for the challenges they may face. This is a unique opportunity to combine your military knowledge, analytical thinking and training expertise to influence training at every level, from platoon to corps.

Job Description:
🕒 Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week
📍 Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster
🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse training, safety and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and actionable insights.
- Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple sources to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Develop and enhance dashboards, reports and visualisations that support senior decision-making and operational readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, standardisation and better reporting processes.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analytical outputs.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on analytics tools, reporting best practice and data-driven decision making.
- Mentor colleagues and promote high standards of analytical quality, consistency and continuous improvement.
- Present findings clearly through reports, presentations and briefings while ensuring data security, confidentiality and compliance.

What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience in business analysis and developing practical solutions to meet complex requirements.
- Knowledge of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) or similar training design and development frameworks.
- Experience applying JSP 822, ADDIE, or equivalent training methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable outputs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and training management systems such as DTMS or JTIMS.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Confident presenting training requirements and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

The OMNIA® Training consortium brings together five leading UK defence training organisations: Capita, Raytheon, Rheinmetall, Cervus and Skyral. As the British Army’s Strategic Training Partner (STP), OMNIA has a clear mission: to transform collective training over the next 15 years and deliver world-class training for the British Army.
Working with the Land Warfare Centre (LWC), OMNIA will schedule, plan, design, deliver and assure collective training across the Army’s Collective Training System (ACTS), while also delivering the Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). This generational opportunity will enable more relevant, challenging and safe training, helping the British Army to fight and win. Central to this mission is the ability to set and measure training performance against requirements, assure operational readiness, and capture associated training and safety risks.
