Role Description
The College Director Principal for Anglia Ruskin University College at Navitas is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge. This role leads the overall academic, operational, and strategic direction of the college, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, excellent student experience, and strong progression outcomes into Anglia Ruskin University.

- Overseeing academic programs
- Managing staff and resources
- Monitoring budgets
- Ensuring compliance with university and regulatory requirements
The role involves:
- Developing and implementing growth strategies
- Fostering positive relationships with university partners and external stakeholders
- Promoting innovation in curriculum design and student support services
The College Director Principal also:
- Represents the college at internal and external meetings
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives
- Supports a culture of inclusivity, accountability, and performance
Qualifications
- Strategic planning and leadership skills, including experience in setting direction, managing change, and delivering on institutional objectives.
- Budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to oversee college finances, allocate resources, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Program development and curriculum enhancement skills, including designing, reviewing, and improving academic offerings in collaboration with university partners.
- Research and data-informed decision-making skills to analyze student outcomes, market trends, and operational performance for continuous improvement.
- Training, staff development, and team management skills to build high-performing academic and professional services teams.
- Extensive experience in higher education or pathway provision, preferably in a senior leadership role within a college or university context.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with university leadership, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the college internally and externally.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., master’s degree or higher) in education, management, or a related field is highly desirable.
