Part-time, permanent - 21 hours per week
£22,616.40 to £27,629.40 (£37,694 to £46,049 FTE) plus £1,038 (£1,730 FTE) Oxford weighting
We’re looking for an experienced administrator or governance professional to join St Antony’s College as our College Secretary.
Reporting to the Bursar (COO), you’ll play an important role in supporting effective and transparent governance across the College. Working closely with Trustees, Fellows and senior colleagues, you’ll provide high-quality support for committees and help ensure we meet our responsibilities as a registered charity and UK public body.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organising key College committees and supporting trustee matters
- Advising and supporting committee chairs
- Preparing agendas and producing clear, accurate minutes
- Supporting policy reviews
- Coordinating recruitment and induction for Governing Body Fellows
- Acting as the College’s Information Officer and managing Freedom of Information requests
- Coordinating regulatory returns
- Drafting consultancy agreements on behalf of the Bursar

We’re looking for someone with significant relevant administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, sound judgement and strong attention to detail. You’ll be confident managing competing priorities and handling sensitive information with tact and discretion. Experience of committee servicing and an awareness of legislation affecting UK public bodies, including Freedom of Information, are also important.
