Commerce AI Optimisation Lead - Contract
Agency - Alcohol Client
Location: London
Rate: £250-£350 per day - Outside IR35
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a specialist commerce team delivering innovative AI search and digital shelf optimisation programmes for a globally recognised consumer brand. The project sits at the intersection of eCommerce, AI search, Digital Shelf optimisation and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), offering the chance to help shape how products are discovered and recommended across emerging AI-powered platforms.

They are a specialist commerce consultancy focused on helping leading consumer brands improve digital commerce performance across global markets. Their work combines data, technology, and operational excellence to drive measurable commercial outcomes. Following significant investment in AI-powered commerce capabilities, they are building expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of digital commerce.
The Role and Deliverables
- Use Azoma insights and recommendations to identify opportunities across product listing pages, product detail pages, and digital commerce content.
- Analyse commerce performance data and determine which optimisation opportunities will deliver meaningful commercial impact.
- Translate AI-generated recommendations into clear, actionable content and commerce recommendations for internal and client teams.
- Improve product visibility and discoverability across AI-powered search environments, digital marketplaces, and emerging commerce platforms.
- Support optimisation initiatives focused on GEO, AI search visibility, and digital shelf performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise activity, track outcomes, and help establish best practices in this rapidly evolving area.

Your Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience using Azoma is essential.
- Experience working with Digital Shelf Analytics, eCommerce optimisation, commerce intelligence, or digital commerce performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess recommendations, and prioritise opportunities based on potential impact.
- Understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), AI search optimisation, or emerging AI-powered commerce platforms.
- Ability to convert technical insights into practical recommendations for content, product pages, and commerce teams.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and communicating findings in a clear, commercially focused manner.
- Experience improving product discoverability, search visibility, or content performance within eCommerce environments.
- Interest in emerging AI technologies and their application within digital commerce.
