Hunter Savage is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage to recruit a Commercial Account Director for its growing Northern Ireland team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys developing new business, building long-term client relationships, and becoming a trusted adviser to a diverse commercial client base. The Role
As a Commercial Account Director, you'll play a key role in driving business growth by identifying and securing new commercial clients while developing long-term relationships with existing customers. Working closely with insurers and internal colleagues, you'll provide tailored insurance solutions, manage clients throughout the entire insurance lifecycle, and ensure an exceptional standard of service at every stage.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a proactive business development plan to generate new commercial opportunities.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with commercial clients.
- Take ownership of clients from initial engagement through to renewal and ongoing account management.
- Advise clients on appropriate commercial insurance solutions based on their individual requirements.
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and secure suitable cover.
- Deliver an outstanding level of customer service while maintaining strong client retention.
- Maintain accurate reporting and ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
- Represent the business professionally within the local market and identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness.

About You
You'll be an ambitious insurance professional with a passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional client outcomes. Ideally you'll have:
- At least 5 years' experience in commercial insurance, account management, or business development.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
- A proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- CII qualification (or currently working towards it) would be advantageous.
