Senior Commercial Account Executive

Flexible / Hybrid – London, South East, Essex, Norfolk or South West

£40,000 – £65,000 + benefits

Flexible hybrid working

Witcher Associates is working with a growing, ambitious insurance business looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Executive as part of its long-term growth plans. This is an opportunity for an established Account Executive who enjoys building long-term client relationships, managing a quality commercial portfolio and wants genuine scope to develop their career as the business continues to grow.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for managing and developing a portfolio of commercial clients across a broad range of industries and classes of business. We’re particularly interested in speaking with Account Executives who have experience managing an established book of approximately £250,000–£300,000+ in income and who can demonstrate strong client retention and relationship management over a sustained period. There will also be the opportunity to transition a proportion of your existing client relationships over time. However, this isn’t a role where you’ll simply be expected to arrive with a huge book on day one – the focus is on finding the right long-term person.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we’re looking for:

  • An experienced Commercial Account Executive with a strong track record of managing and retaining clients
  • Experience across a broad range of commercial insurance classes
  • Comfortable managing an established portfolio and developing client relationships
  • Commercially minded, ambitious and keen to continue progressing
  • Able to identify opportunities to grow accounts and generate new business
  • Construction insurance experience would be particularly advantageous, although it isn’t essential
  • If you have a significant existing book of business, the business would be very happy to have a wider conversation around what could be possible

Location & flexibility

There is significant flexibility around location for the right person. The business currently operates a hybrid model of around three days in the office, but for an experienced Account Executive based further afield, there is scope to work predominantly remotely and travel into the office once a week or potentially once a fortnight or even once a month. We’re therefore open to candidates across London, Essex, Norfolk, the wider South East and the South West. There are also longer-term growth plans which could include establishing an additional presence in the Essex area, making this an interesting opportunity for someone who wants to join a business while it is still building and have the chance to grow with it.
