Job title: Commercial Account Executive

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Location: Leeds – Hybrid working

PURPOSE OF ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial insurance professional to join a leading insurance broker in a new, growth-focused role based in Leeds.

Working on a hybrid basis, you will act as a trusted adviser to Mid-Market businesses across the UK, drawing on your cross-class commercial insurance background and strong client management skills to build lasting relationships and grow a profitable portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build trusted relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers, acting as their primary risk and insurance adviser
  • Design and deliver bespoke insurance programmes, supported by proactive risk management and claims advocacy
  • Identify new business opportunities, referrals and cross-sell solutions through close collaboration across the wider business
  • Own and develop a strong pipeline of new and existing opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Work alongside specialist teams to deliver joined-up, high-quality solutions for clients
  • Manage your client portfolio in line with relevant risk, compliance and governance frameworks

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Identifying new business opportunities, referrals and cross-sell solutions
  • Building trusted relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers, acting as their primary risk and insurance adviser

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven client relationship experience within the insurance industry, with a strong grounding in core commercial insurance classes (essential)
  • Experience handling Mid-Market commercial and corporate insurance risks (desirable)

SKILLS

  • Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of market forces, business drivers, market dynamics, competitors and risk
  • A growth mindset with a keen eye for new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A client-focused, consultative approach with a genuine commitment to excellent client service
