Commercial Account Executive

Salary: Up to £75K DOE

Location: Manchester/Hybrid

My client has opened a brand-new Manchester office for an established national insurance brokerage and is now looking for an ambitious Account Executive.

If you've already proven you can win new business and you're tired of inheriting someone else's patch, working someone else's process, or waiting years for the next rung this is your shot to build the patch, set the tone, and be the name people in Manchester associate with the brand.

You'll have the weight of a national brokerage behind you infrastructure, resources, reputation, back-office support but the freedom and blank canvas of a new office. However the Manchester office grows, you'll have helped build it.

What you'll actually be doing:

  • Out in the market, not behind a desk meeting business owners, directors and decision-makers face-to-face
  • Hunting and converting new commercial insurance business across SME and Mid-Market
  • Building your own network and pipeline, on your own diary, your own way
  • Partnering with Account Handlers and the broking team to close and deliver
  • Helping shape how the Manchester office operates, grows, and is known in the region

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
