Role Description

The Commercial Account Executive is a full-time remote role responsible for driving growth across commercial accounts by selling Upwind’s cloud security platform. Day-to-day activities include:

The role involves collaborating with sales operations, marketing, and technical teams to develop tailored solutions, prepare proposals, and ensure smooth onboarding and expansion opportunities. The Commercial Account Executive will focus on understanding customer cloud security needs, managing a pipeline in CRM tools, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets while representing Upwind in a professional, consultative manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, including experience managing end-to-end commercial sales cycles and meeting revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in Account Management and Sales Operations, with the ability to maintain client relationships, manage pipelines, and use CRM systems effectively.
  • Background in Insurance or related risk-focused industries is beneficial, especially experience translating complex risk concepts into clear business value.
  • Experience selling B2B SaaS or cybersecurity solutions, ideally within cloud or DevOps environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and comfort working independently in a remote setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
