Commercial Account Executive
Salary: £60K - £75K
Location: Leeds/Hybrid
The Opportunity
I'm working with one of the UK's largest independent insurance brokers to find a Commercial Account Executive to join their team. My client employs across offices throughout the UK, and has built its reputation on genuine, long-term client relationships rather than a hard sell - in fact, the majority of their new business comes through referrals, which speaks volumes about how their clients feel about the service they receive.
This is a business my client is genuinely proud of: an award-winning, close-knit team that combines deep technical expertise with a friendly, down-to-earth way of working. Whether in commercial lines, transport and logistics, or one of their other specialisms, you'd be joining a company where people stick around, knowledge is shared generously, and colleagues genuinely look out for one another.
My client also believes in trusting people to get on with the job. Their hybrid working culture is relaxed and outcome-focused you'll have the flexibility to structure your week in a way that works for you and your clients, without anyone watching the clock.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
