Commercial Account Executive

Shropshire | £200,000 Income Book to Inherit

We are working with an established and highly respected insurance business that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join their team in Shropshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious insurance professional to inherit and manage an established £200,000 income book, while developing existing client relationships and identifying further opportunities for growth.

The Role

As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of established commercial and agricultural clients, providing a high level of service whilst identifying opportunities to develop and grow the book.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing an established £200k income book
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with commercial and agricultural clients
  • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business opportunities
  • Providing tailored insurance solutions across a range of commercial risks
  • Identifying opportunities for account development and cross-selling
  • Working closely with insurers and internal broking teams
  • Generating new business through referrals, networking and existing relationships
  • Ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service

About You

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive with a strong background in both Commercial and Agricultural Insurance.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience managing a commercial insurance portfolio
  • Strong agricultural insurance experience
  • Experience managing and developing existing client relationships
  • A strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risks
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A proven ability to identify and generate new business
  • A commercially minded and consultative approach
  • The confidence to manage a substantial book of business independently
