Commercial Account Executive

Salary - up to £70,000 - plus car allowance East & West Sussex/ Hybrid

We’re working with a well-established insurance broker who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with ambitious and client-focused Account Executives. Whether you’re looking to inherit an existing portfolio or have the drive to develop your own book of business, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Commercial Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing tailored insurance solutions and building long-term relationships. You’ll work closely with insurers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service while identifying opportunities to develop new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
  • Build strong relationships through regular client contact and reviews.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and self-generated leads.
  • Deliver tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms.
  • Ensure all client documentation is accurate and FCA compliant.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Handlers and wider broking teams to provide an outstanding client experience.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Commercial Account Executive or Development Executive.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Confident in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Cert CII or progress towards professional qualifications is advantageous but not essential.
