PURPOSE OF ROLE
A well-established and fast-growing insurance business is looking to strengthen its team as client demand continues to rise.
This is a key role in helping the region win and retain business, and would suit an Account Handler or Account Executive comfortable working across a broad mix of small and medium-sized commercial clients. Experience with larger, more complex risks would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting clients through renewals, mid-term adjustments, documentation queries, and quotes for additional cover.
- Partnering with account executives on larger and more complex cases.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and insurers to drive high retention.
- Ensuring all work is carried out compliantly and within required timescales.
- Acting as a key point of contact for both internal colleagues and external partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
