Commercial Account Handler - Property Owners Focused

Salary: up to £38,000 plus bonus

Location: London & Surrey/ Hybrid

We’re working with an established, independent Lloyd’s insurance broker with a strong reputation across the UK market. Known for their specialist Construction & Commercial expertise and friendly supportive culture, they’re now looking to add a Commercial Account Handler to their growing team.

This is a new business-focused role, with around 70% of the portfolio centred around Property Owners, alongside Commercial Combined, Fleet, PI and Liability risks.

The Role

  • Predominantly handling inbound new business, with a small renewal allocation of 5-10 renewals per month
  • Dealing with residential and commercial Property Owners risks
  • Managing enquiries from individual landlords through to blocks of flats and mixed-use properties
  • Obtaining quotations and negotiating with insurers
  • Using Acturis for standard risks
  • Developing new business through inbound leads, cross-selling and self-generated opportunities
  • Working closely with experienced handlers on larger and more complex risks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
