Commercial Account Handler
Salary - up to £40,000
Burgess Hill/ Hybrid
The Role
- Manage a diverse portfolio of cross-class commercial policies, including Commercial Combined, Contractors, Landlords, Property, Liability, Fleet, and Professional Indemnity
- Handle and place premiums of up to £50,000
- Broking business through a combination of manual placement and e-trade using Acturis
- Liaise and negotiate with a wide panel of insurers to secure competitive terms and the best possible outcomes for clients
- Manage your own monthly renewals, while proactively identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Attend client meetings alongside Account Executives and Directors, helping to develop and strengthen client relationships

- Experienced in SME Commercial Insurance Broking, ideally with 12–18 months’ experience
- Acturis trained and comfortable using the system as part of their day-to-day role
- Reliable, organised, and highly detail-oriented
- A confident communicator with strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and commercially minded, with a genuine focus on delivering a high level of service to clients
